Proposal Received!
Next Steps
Case Discovery: NJPTC will begin the discovery phase of your case. During this stage, we collect evidence and documentation to assist your legal team in preparing a settlement offer.
Refund/Credit Eligibility: Any property taxes paid as of January 1st for the appealed tax year may be eligible for a refund or credit, regardless of how long your case takes.
Timeline: There is no set timeframe for settlements—each case progresses at its own pace. County Board appeals (for assessments under $1 million) are generally held over the summer, while State Tax Court hearings (for assessments over $1 million) typically occur during the fall and winter of 2026.
Settlement & Refiling: Many cases are resolved without a court trial. If your case is not settled by next year’s deadline, your legal counsel will automatically refile it on your behalf.
Court Attendance: Your presence will not be required for any court proceedings.
Digital Signatures: All documents can be signed electronically through our secure platform. To request a digital signature version, please contact us. Be sure to add info@NJPTCLLC.com and your consultant’s email address to your contacts.
Case Updates: If you would like an update, simply email your consultant or attorney. Our team is continuously working on your case and will reach out only when necessary.
Tax Payments: Continue to pay your property taxes as listed on your bill, even if your case is still in progress or has been settled.
Thank you for choosing NJ Property Tax Consulting LLC!
